BACKGROUND
Artist, filmmaker, and founder of the Forty Elephants production company. I Produced and co-directed the independent film Spokanarchy: http://www.spokanarchy.com/ winner of Best Documentary LA Punk Film Festival. Prior to starting my own company, I was Director of Advance Product Development in Digital Video at Adobe Systems. I have 20 years experience as accomplished software technologist and entrepreneur. I developed many new products, including the screenwriting software Adobe Story. I received my BA in filmmaking from The Evergreen State College and an Masters of Communications in Digital Media from the University of Washington. I have a passion for storytelling through all media and now focuse on printmaking, zines and experimental film.
Artist's Statement
My artwork explores western aesthetics, media, history, and personal experiences. I’m fascinated by written histories and how their fabrication and meaning either coexists or conflicts with modern lifestyles and the goals of social justice and equality. Within these themes I investigate: vanity, consumerism, complicity, complacency, and identity.
